WHAT?
It’s not as you think
It’s not as you know
It’s not new but it’s not old
It’s the original blueprint
Transformative discipleship into the image of Christ is what we are about, where the inner realm of a follower becomes the true reflection or image of Christ Himself.
Romans 8:29 “For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;”
None of us are born into this image, hence the need to be conformed into it. True transformative discipleship through Spirit and Truth is the key to this transformation.
This has nothing to do withwhere you gather or how you gather. Big gatherings in buildings, small gatherings in homes, programmes, methods, forms, rituals, ceremonies, external works, or natural relational connections with others, are not the answer to this transformation.
This Wilderness Way removes all the boxes so we can’t tick them.
The Wilderness discipleship way is about every follower entrusting their whole heart to Christ and Christ alone and being prepared to be led by the Spirit into the process of spiritual transformation. In other words, losing your earthly life for His and the Gospels sake and being conformed into the image of Christ Himself.
It is from this position of transformative discipleship that Christ’s life is not only a reflection of every follower’s heart, but an expression of this image of Christ into the earth.
We invite anyone and everyone to walk with us on the Wilderness way, to become these Wilderness followers.
THE WILL OF GOD
It is essential we don’t confuse the will of God for the commands of God and vice versa. The scriptures are very clear on what the will of God is and what the commands of God are.
The will of God and the Commands of God are for each and every follower to enter into and live out. There is not an individual will of God for one follower and a completely different will for another.
The will of God and the Commands of God are for all followers to adhere to and keep through His divine grace.
1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 “For this is the will of God, yoursanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification andhonour,”
John 6:38-40 “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing butraise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.””

THE COMMANDS OF GOD
Mark 12:28-31“One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognising that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?” Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.””
As the wilderness people the Will of God and the Commands of God are our shared purpose. Out of these two aspects of God comes the life He promises us.
